Check List for Incoming Students Things to Bring and Not to Bring

• New Student Spring 2025 Move-In:
  Friday, January 17, 2025 - 10:00am to 1:00pm, Canal Hall

• Thanksgiving Break - November 27, to December 1, 2024
• Residence Halls close at 10:00am on November 27, and re-open on Sunday, December 1 at 10:00am
• Residents must vacate unless participating in Pay-to-Stay or 12-month Housing
• December Break - December 20, 2024 to January 19, 2025*
• Residence Halls close at 10:00am on December 20, and re-open for the spring semester on Sunday, January 19 at 10:00am
• Residents must vacate unless participating in 12-Month Housing
• Residents with Finals past December 20 may request an extention
• January Intersession - January 2 to January 19, 2025
• Residents approved for January Intersession may return on Thursday, January 2 at 10:00am
• February Recess - February 14 to February 23, 2025* 
• Residence Halls close at 10:00am on Friday, February 14 and re-open on Sunday, February 23  at 10:00am
• Residents must vacate unless participating in Pay-to-Stay or 12-month Housing
• Residents with classes past February 14 may request an extention
• Spring Break - April 11 to April 20, 2025*
• Residence Halls close at 10:00am on Friday, February 14 and re-open on Sunday, February 23  at 10:00am
• Residents must vacate unless participating in Pay-to-Stay or 12-month Housing
• Residents with classes past April 11 may request an extention
• End of Semester Move-Out - May 19 to May 23, 2025
• All residents must leave within 24 hours of their last final and schedule a time to check-out with their RA, unless participating in 12-Month Housing
• End of Year Closing - May 23, 2025 by 10:00am*
• Residence Halls close for the smester and residents must be moved out of their spaces by 10:00am on Friday, May 23, unless participating in 12-Month Housing

*For classes, final examinations, or graduation that occur after a scheduled break closing, residents may request and extenion or late departure by emailing ResidenceHalls@dos5.net.

The residence halls operate under the MCC Association, Inc., a non-for-profit organization that provides the necessary financial and management support for many student programs and services.
